Culture matters

Our business was founded on the principle of balancing people and planet with profit, whilst delivering great creative work for our clients.

Last year, our teams delivered projects in 20 countries, across 4 continents with a 100% success rate.

While our business achievements make us happy, our real victory lies in establishing a positive company culture - where employee happiness is valued as much as their performance, and where flexible working and employee mental wellbeing takes centre stage.

Ignition is proud to be part of Istoria Group.

Istoria Group is a Certified B Corporation and supports the Better Business Act – a movement that aims to change the law to ensure every company, whether big or small, puts balancing people, profit and planet at the heart of their purpose and the responsibilities of their directors. When you join Istoria Group, rest assured that you are working for a forward thinking company that’s part of a strong and growing coalition of like-minded business, campaigning for a better, fairer, greener world. We believe that together, we can make a positive difference in the world!

Our purpose

We aim to make a positive difference

Ignition Website Banner_Blue.png

Our company values

Our internal awards known as the ‘EPICs’ reward employees who have truly lived and breathed our values.

The EPICs epitomise our values. The EPIC awards take place each quarter to recognise an individual or individuals efforts in the months prior. There is also an Annual Winner voted by employees and the leadership team for the culmination of their work. They are rewarded with the equivalent of a £1,000 prize and plaque on the EPICs Hall of Fame wall.

An EPIC is the highest honour bestowed on an employee.

E - Entrepreneurial Spirit

Being entrepreneurial is a mindset. Entrepreneurs think and act differently. We expect the unexpected and we like to be surprised. For us, to be entrepreneurial means to be able to share ideas freely and fearlessly - even acknowledging so-called failures as learning and growing experiences. We encourage and expect entrepreneurial thinking at all levels of our team and seek to collaborate internally and externally to pinpoint the most exciting new future opportunities.

P - Personable Approach

We believe in being humble. No hierarchies. No egos. No tantrums. In business, we believe that people buy people and we advocate human-to-human communication and values at all times. Our clients always say we’re great to work with and that we go the extra mile. We also care deeply about making the world a better place. Internally, we take great care of our team and invest in finding new team-members that share our beliefs. We’ve been named as one of the UK’s ‘Best Places to Work’.

I - Intelligent Thinking

Thinking comes before doing. Whether it’s the design of a 3D environment, the flawless planning and delivery of an event or the creation of an unforgettable brand experience, we start by cross-fertilising ideas from our different disciplines and personal networks. We balance strategy with creativity and commerciality. The end result is projects of the highest aesthetic quality that function brilliantly and are delivered with exceptional levels of service, measured to ensure expectations are always met or exceeded.

C - Collaborative Working

The best source of project knowledge is our clients themselves. We also understand it’s not always easy for clients to articulate exactly what they require from their design partner. We have the tools to discover what is relevant and necessary to know from our clients and we combine this with our own research, knowledge and insights. We share findings and facilitate further brainstorms and that way we always nail the brief. The best minds need to work together towards the same goal.

People & sustainability matters

We are proud of our dedicated and talented team. Ignition people comprises Strategists, Marketers, Creatives - 3D Designers, Graphic Designers, Artworkers and Production Specialists, Account Managers, Project Managers, Logistics and Warehousing experts. And we’re all passionate about sustainable design!

Ignition is a strategically and creatively led agency with production expertise. We therefore pride ourselves on our bespoke, modular, beautiful and durable designs that can be re-used over many years (we aim for zero-waste-to-landfill). Ignition is already carbon neutral for scope 1 & 2 of GHG protocol and plan to be completely carbon neutral by 2030.

It’s a no-brainer that a happy company is not only more productive but creates a better experience for staff and clients too. Investment in people always makes impeccable – and sustainable – business sense.
