Ignition maintains globally recognised ISO standards

A decade of ISO certification

Ignition is proud to have gained recertification for the following ISO standards:

  • ISO 9001 - Quality Management - held since 2014

  • ISO 20121 - Sustainable Event Management - held since 2012

  • ISO 14001 - Environmental Management - held since 2010

Consistently maintaining high standards and striving for continuous improvement is of vital importance to us and how we conduct business internationally. Ignition is one of only a few companies in our industry that puts sustainability at the core of our business. We are fiercely proud to deliver creative, results-driven exhibitions, events and experiences with uncompromising quality. Last year we delivered 344 worldwide projects in 20 countries, across 4 continents with a 100% success rate.

As one of the first companies in the world to be certified with the ISO 20121 - Sustainable Event Management standard, sustainability is a way of life for us.

Our team has continuously improved the way we deliver our work worldwide, since gaining our first certification back in 2010. The following 10 years have seen our team achieve our annually planned objectives and targets, such as:

  • Monitoring carbon emission levels and mitigating them by 10% year on year (We overachieved with a 25% reduction in 2019)

  • Offsetting any emissions made, through donations to charity

  • Reducing energy consumption overall by 10% year on year (we overachieved with an 18% reduction in 2019)

  • Sharing environmentally-friendly re-useable solutions with suppliers, with the long term aim of encouraging them to work to the same standards we do, and therefore helping protect the environment via our supply chain, and

  • Becoming net carbon neutral for scope 1 and 2 of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol

SGS continues to support Ignition as we look at innovative ways to improve our processes and the way we deliver events, exhibitions and experiences, both physical and virtual.

Since ISO 20121 certification also encompasses wellbeing, it means our already advanced policies around mental health and flexibility have been formally recognised, along with our charitable work in developing countries.

As part of our collaborative approach to conducting business responsibly, it is equally important to educate our own supply chain too. We audit all of our suppliers for sustainability and emissions and share our annual statement of policies and expectations with them. This in turn helps these businesses to achieve their own sustainability goals and supports their own new business activity.

Our clients also benefit financially from the cost savings resulting from our collective improved sustainability performance.

The consistency of our results and execution of our projects has also been acknowledged by multiple industry award wins, including:

Everyone in the business is justifiably proud of having achieved and maintained our ISO certifications. Not only does it help us think about our processes, it ultimately makes us a better company.
